​Hello, I'm Iona Fleur Sheppard! 

 

I am a freelance creative artist who makes music for multi-sensory spaces and theatre for family and adult audiences.

I am passionate about making exciting, engaging and accessible work and specialise in working with underrepresented groups in the community and people who experience the world in a sensory way.

I originally trained at East 15 Acting School, studying Acting and Community Theatre and spent many years performing as an Actor Musician, touring the UK and internationally.

I have since worked extensively in sensory theatre in roles such as Musician/Musical Director, alongside making, producing and touring family theatre with my company - Stories in the Dust.

In my career I have been fortunate enough to have worked on some incredible projects with brilliant people, each catering for specific and diverse audiences.

I believe that every human being deserves the opportunity to access high quality artistic experiences wherever they may be. Whether that's in a hospital bed, floating in a hydrotherapy pool or swinging in an aerial sling in the sky, I believe stories can and should be told in the places that are best suited to their audience.
